I enjoyed recording an episode of the Simmering Thoughts podcast yesterday with my friend, Ryan Akers. He and Chris Dean normally host, but due to illness in Chris’ family, they were forced to scrape the bottom of the barrel. We continued their series on the fruits of the Spirit by discussing joy from a biblical perspective. You can listen to the episode here.
I was recently honored to appear on the Mortification of Spin podcast and talk with my friend Aimee Byrd and frenemy Dr. Carl Trueman about my new historical novel, The Girl Empress. You can listen to the podcast at this link or through the iTunes store. I thoroughly recommend Mortification of Spin to you for all your theological podcast needs, provided you remember they are all lapsed Baptists in need of God’s grace. (That’s a little joke. Nice Presbys.)
I joined the conversation on this week’s episode of the Council of Google Plus podcast to discuss such pedestrian issues as homosexuality, female pastors, submission in marriage, and human free will. Pay special attention for the moment when I get triggered by a comment about the Trinity. Poor Chris! This is a free flowing discussion, so you can see how well I do on the fly. Listen here.
I was honored this week to appear on the Council of Google Plus podcast, which is part of the Bible Thumping Wingnut Network. We discussed the issue of suffering in the life of the Christian, and I talked about what I have been learning in the midst of my health issues this year. We also had a special guest drop by: Coleen Sharp from the Theology Gals podcast! Drop on by and have a listen. I also recommend that you read Coleen’s recent blog post about her own experience of suffering.
I was recently honored to appear on an episode of the Theology Gals podcast, which is on the awesomely named Bible Thumping Wingnut network. We discussed my recent articles about Tim Keller. You can listen to the podcast here. I really enjoyed speaking with Coleen and Ashley about these important issues, and I would encourage my readers to take a listen to some of the other episodes of this podcast as well. They have a Facebook page specifically for women, but the things they have to say are useful for all Christians to hear. Keep it up, ladies!
